june 4th saturday
deb and i got up early and, after stopping at starbucks, made our way to maryland to see my friend margarita. i was not sure what to expect. i know joe and her dont have alot of money and getting a nice apartment for cheap is hard. i was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful her apartment really was. it was decorated nicely and it was very big. her neighborhood looked a bit on the ghetto side but all in all not a bad place to be.
we spent most of the day talking to margarita and her family. that bieng her husband joe and her 3 kids. we drank some margaritas and watched electra. spent alot of time on the porch talking.
poor margarita tried to make dinner but it didnt turn out all that well. my porch chop was like eating a shoe. its all good though because i really dont like pork chops. her baked ziti was pretty good.
later in the evening her friend and neighbor came over and we talked and got ready to go out for a bit. i think that is what margarita needed. a night out and away from her kids and joe. i know she doesnt get to go alot of places. they have no car and who would watch the kids.
we wound up at a restaurant where we sat outside smoked and drank. our waiter was a bit of an asshole.
margarita was telling deb some really nice tings about me and i couldnt help but be flattered. she said i saved her and that i was one of the bestest friends she had ever had. for awhile now i have been feeling like i have not been a good friend. it was nice to hear someone who thought differently. although i have to admit it was a bit embarrasing as well. i am not used to flattery.
deb and i were but in her daughters bedroom. the bed was horrible. it was like an air mattress. when deb moved i moved. it was very hard to roll over. i like to toss and turn alot in my sleep. staying in one place is not good for me. i know that every time i moved poor deb was bieng tossed around as well. i tried my best to keep it to a mininum. lol. before deb hit the sack she was reading a book. i made her read some of it. couldnt get into what she was reading. lol. it was some romance/fantasy book or something like that. not so much into the whole romance novel thing. it was also very cold. i had 3 blankets and i was still shivering.
