this morning at 10 AM i picked up deborah and we went on our merry way to delaware. the drive down was lovely and i brought snacks for us and we talked most of the way there. < we had alot to discuss ;) > lol.
in delaware we became worried about some of the names of the beached there. such as, SLAUGHTER BEACH, KILL BEACH, SLAUGHTER NECK BEACH. scary shit. lol. thank god aunt maryann and uncle brunos place is in bethany beach.
so we finally get close to where this beach is supposed to be and now we can make fun of the scenery. like the peacefull bonsi shop located next to guns and amo. little BBQ stands and video rental stores. all in all it was a cute little town. but now i am thinking this can not be right. i mean where would you put a gold course around here? where is the beach? deb i think we went the wrong way. but as soon as i said it the sign for bethany bay came up. so we were on the right track. soon enough we found the golf course uncle bruno told us about and then "BETHANY BAY. THE QUIET COMMUNITY" that is what the sign said. almost peed my pants i was laughing so hard.
we pull up to the townhouses and my aunts was on the third floor. whe huffed it up the staires.
my aunt opened the door and me and deb ran in and checked out every room. the kitchen was huge and beautiful and then the living room. 2 bedrooms downstaires. and 2 upstaires. the room we were in is where the kids usually stay. lauren and caila. they have a tv shaped like mickey mouse!
when we finally calmed down i realized that my 2nd cousin tommy was there. he usually doesnt talk to me much so i was very surprised the he seemed genuinaly happy to see me.
we chit chatted the fam for a bit then got ready to go to bethany beach.
my poor uncle kept trying to tell us that it was not the kind of boardwalk we were thinking of. i told him all we wanted was a beach. he was like oh! lol. he seemed pleased.
so we got to the beach and we looked at some of the stores on the boardwalk then made our way to the beach. the whole beach was covered in families. lol. we sat in the back of this kid who was digging a massive hole in the sand.
we lied there for a bit and then deb went with her new boogie board into the water. i got some pics then went back to the blanket and stayed in the sun.
after that we looked at the little town. it had restaurants, shops with cool little chackis in them, candy stores, and boardwalk fries! we had some boardwalk fries then we found the bethany surf shop.
after that we went back to aunt maryanns and got ready for a family dinner at some bbq place.
while we waited tommy and his girlfriend asked if me and deb wanted to go with them to the sirf shop so we did. tommy really isnt all that bad. lol.
we waited a while longer and you can tell my aunt maryann was getting mad with having to wait so long. she finally got up and put up a fuss and table opened up.
uncle bruno was highly upset that i got a hamburger but all in all i dont like ribs or any of that so hamburger it is. plus i wasnt sure if i would ahve to pay for this dinner or not so i wanted to get something on the cheap side. auny maryann ordered a rack of ribs and ate with her hands and she was all messy. that is funny because she is a very prim and proper lady.
after dinner we all went to the boardwalk for fireworks. they were shit. debs like no there not and i realized that since i had seen the redbank ones no other ones besides disneys would ever be good enough now. lol. but they were shit.
we got home and took a walk and talked about the day. when we got back deb and tommy started talking about surfing the next day. then we all made our way to bed.
