tonite after work i went out with deb to the cracker barrel. i knew something was wrong when she called me earlier in the day to ask me if we could go there.
when i got her in the car she told me that she wanted to break up with nora. which was a bit shocking to the system since just last night i watched them make googly eyes at one another. so she told me the story of why and then kinda interupted herself with concerns she was having about us < the friends > and her need for a woman in the relationship. i told her you have to understand that alot of us dont understand why it is she needs another party. but if we didnt want to tolerate it we would have said bye bye by now.
i can understand why this is a huge weight on her and i know she understands that we are not all comfy with it. which is good. she was confused about where it would be acceptable to hold her other SOs hand and shit like that. i said places like dracs ball and qxt and rockey. those places seem to be the safest in my eyes. i told deb that we are also looking out for her safety. while we were at club mix we saw alot of poeple pointing at them and the guy behind us in line looked like the type to want to be an asshole about it. i worry that one day she will be in a place where these things are not excepted and get hurt. i am glad she understood it.
all in all i must say that the breakup s a good idea. nora was a little too geeky and would never really fit in with us all that well. and if deb is not happy then she shouldnt stay. and that is that.
cracker barrel was fun though and we had coca cola cake!!! omg they use the coca cola to moisten the cake and its sooo good.
