at 8:30 of the PM kellyann, her mother, and i strolled to a little music store to hear the fresh new band kellyanns brother is playing in.
the first girl playing was a mess. her voice was shrill and her and high notes pretty much do not mesh well together. her lyrics were childish. at one point i thought i should cover mrs gallaghers ears because she kept screaming about how she was whore.
thomas was not on until much later, we did not know this, so we all went to 7 11 and bought darth vadar slushies!
at 11:30 when the sandman began to sprinkle sleep into our eyes thomas's band began to play. very good band. 3 girls one boy. he is an excellent drummer but in my opinion the bands style holds his talents back. i think he would do much better in a hardcore band.
may 8 sunday
mothers day. again. the poconos. again. our first 2 stops on the boredom tour was candle shops. you can imagine my joy. dont get me wrong i love candles. but do we really need to stop at 2? well to be fair one had more then just candles. they had collectables and jewelry and candy and all sorts of knick knacks. i bought my mother a necklace she was eyeing.
after that we tried to go to lunch. every nice place had a fixed menu. we wound up at friendlies. not exactly the place i wanted to take my mother for her meal. we waited 20 mins for a waiter/waitress. finally i went up to the counter. hello i said to the nice lady. my mother and i have been sitting for quite some time at that booth back there. waiters and waitresses have passed us by and no one has come to take our order. this is not exactly what i call a 4 star restaurant here. if a member of your waitstaff is not here in 30 seconds my mother and i will be leaving.
sure enough we got our waitress. she looked less then thrilled to be serving us due to the fact that this was not her section. the other waiter seemed to have dissapeared.
after a horrid lunch we went to the outlets where i bought mom a top for petite sophisticate and myself the harry potter and the chamber of secrets book.
finally home and i give grandma her gift. ashley is sitting there and she told me bruno and claudia yet again got grandma a pic of the kids. this time not even framed. nice huh? i barely make any money yet the people i love come first. some people just arent as giving as i am. lol
i met D at felix for a bit. its under new management and it just feels different. even the wait staff is different. i have been going there for over 11 years. i hate change.
